She continued to try a few ways to cure the poison, but all attempts were in vain. Troubled, she frowned at him. It was very rare for her to find a poison that she could not cure. Could it be a new type of poison?

Although it was her first encounter with the poison, she felt like she had actually seen it somewhere as she found one of the materials used in the making of the poison rather familiar. Unfortunately, she was now certain that nothing in her storage bag could be the cure. Therefore, the only way to help Di Fuyi was to refine the cure on the spot.

Fortunately, she had brought enough items with her. As soon as she gathered all the ingredients she needed, she immediately began the alchemy.

As she worked, the love philter had started to spread across Di Fuyi's body. Sweat could be seen rolling down all around his body, yet, they soon evaporated because of his dry, hot skin.

Fortunately for him, it did not take long for Gu Xijiu to produce a new cure. \”Here, try this,\” she offered.

Di Fuyi swallowed the pill as a whole without any delay.

Gu Xijiu continued to observe him and soon realized that the redness on his cheeks started to fade. In fact, his complexion was slowly returning to normal. She then took a reading on his wrist and noticed that his thumping heart was already slowing down. Relieved, the woman was once again convinced that there was nothing she could not solve.

\”Jiu, if the toxins could not be cured, what would you have done?\” Di Fuyi suddenly asked.

\”Are you doubting my abilities? Don't worry; there is no poison that I cannot cure,\” Gu Xijiu reassured.
