Gu Xijiu pretended that she did not notice the oddity in his behavior. \”There has been quite a big fuss here, but none of the soldiers seem to have been alerted. Don't you think it is a little strange?\”

Perplexed, Yin Jiusi had thought the same. He was prepared if any troops were to approach him, but not one soldier showed up at the peak. He was smart enough to make the correct speculation. \”Divine Lord, you are the one helping me, aren't you?\”

Gu Xijiu softly answered, \”I have not done much, actually. I have only secured the peak with a soundproof wizardry barrier.\”

Even though it did not sound like much, it was the very help that he needed.

Yin Jiusi bowed before her as a token of gratitude. \”Thank you very much, Divine Lord.\”

Anxious and slightly doubtful, he asked, \”May I know what brings you here? Are you really here just to help me out?\”

\”I am here to talk business,\” Gu Xijiu smilingly said.

\”Business? What sort of business?\” Yin Jiusi looked at her in bewilderment.

As the Divine Lord, she was known to be the greatest and the strongest person that ever existed. There should be nothing that she could not solve or acquire on her own. What sort of business was there to talk about?

Gu Xijiu continued, \”I have only helped you to keep the volume down so that your identity would not be exposed. But if you left the checkpoint by the hill all alone, it would definitely cause an alarm. With so many of the soldiers there, you might not be able to get away so quickly. Have you thought about that?\”

With a sigh, Yin Jiusi had to agree with her. He had thought about the consequences, but the battle was inevitable. So, he thought he would just get it over with there and then.

Nevertheless, since the creator of the universe had brought it up, he humbly asked for Gu Xijiu's opinion, \”Divine Lord, have you got anything in mind?\”

\”Of course. I will solve the problem for you, only if you promise me a favor in return. Your safety will thus be guaranteed if you agree to my terms.\”

Still puzzled, Yin Jiusi was unsure of the task that he was about to do for the Divine Lord. With a deep breath and a bow, he nonetheless agreed to her. \”May I know how I can be of service to you? As long as I can fulfill the task, I will give everything I can to achieve it. I am willing to risk my life.\”

\”There is no need for you to risk your life. What I will ask for is really simple. You can easily make it happen.\”
