”Young man?” Di Fuyi asked, half-smilingly. ”Divine Lord, how young do you think I am?”

”To me, you are only a child.” She then said magnanimously, ”I am so much older than you.”

Before she could utter another word, Di Fuyi was already flashing a mirror in front of her. In the mirror, she did not look as refined and elegant as she remembered. In fact, she was caught by utter surprise by her reflection.

There was a young lady that was only about 14 or 15 years old, staring back at her. Her eyes were bright and beautiful, looking as delicate as ever.

Gu Xijiu was still in shock. Subconsciously, she touched her face, and the lady in the mirror did the same. Something was wrong! Had the mirror reflected a different age, or did she really look that young?

Gu Xijiu skipped all the unnecessary questions and proceeded to take out her own mirror. She would assume that it would depict reality as it appeared. The mirror was so clear to the point where one could see the pores on their supple skin.

There were no filters or beautifying effects on Gu Xijiu's mirror. However, the reflection in the mirror was still a young, delicate girl, nothing different from the one she saw earlier.

She had become younger! No wonder the length of her dress bothered her a little. She kept catching her foot on its hem and stumbled a few times. At first, she thought she did not tie her dress properly, but that was not the case.

Could her dying day have been brought forward? Swiftly, she briefly calculated the remaining days that she had on earth, but there was no result. Something major must have occurred to change the course of her life. However, her immortalization remained inevitable. Living a few extra years did not make any difference.

Gu Xijiu soon got over the fact that she was dying. However, she could not believe that she was being arrogant on account of her seniority with this young face of hers. It was rather odd. She kept the mirror away and said with all seriousness, ”My tender looks do not define me. All right, we should not be talking about this matter. We are getting derailed again. Would you like to trade the pills for my bracelets?”

”All right, I am taking your offer, but first, I would like to examine it.”
