The Monster King gave her a wicked smile and said, ”Don't worry. I am not here to make you say anything. I even have a doctor here to help you with your injuries. You should do as he says and make no trouble.”

Wu Qianyan stared at him doubtfully and refused to believe anything that he said.

Nonetheless, the Monster King was reluctant to say anything more. He turned to the man in purple and said, ”Mister, I shall hand over everything here to you.” He then left swiftly with his men.

The prison was sealed again, leaving the man in purple inside with Wu Qianyan and Gu Xijiu, who was still invisible. After the Monster King was gone, the man in purple gave his shoulder a few quick taps, as if sweeping off the dust that the Monster King's hand left behind.

Gu Xijiu observed the neatness of his robes and the meticulous details of his appearance. The man in purple and Di Fuyi looked very much alike, and both seemed to have an obsessive compulsion for hygiene and neatness.

”Who are you? What do you want from me?” Wu Qianyan treated him with defensive hostility.

”I am here to save your life,” the man in purple briefly replied.

Wu Qianyan answered in disbelief, ”How?” Suddenly, she thought of Fan Qianshi, and her eyes immediately glistened with hope. ”Did Qianshi, the young master, send you here? I know he has many friends from across the world. He must have sent you here for me.”

The man in purple was unimpressed. ”Sorry to disappoint you.”

He then put a seal on one of Wu Qianyan's acupuncture points, so she could no longer talk. When all was done, he took a look at Gu Xijiu in the corner. ”Divine Lord, how long do you plan to stay invisible?”

Astonished, Wu Qianyan certainly did not expect Gu Xijiu's presence in the prison cell. She followed the direction of his eyes and looked at the corner of the prison cell. Perplexed, she could not see Gu Xijiu anywhere.

Soon, Gu Xijiu made her entrance. Slowly, her figure came into sight.
