2798 What If I Died? (1/2)

The Monster King had arranged everything well. Wu Qianyan's penalty was expected to be carried out by the end of the day. Hence, they still had eight hours.

Gu Xijiu was glad that she made her return at the right time. Otherwise, the only thing that would be waiting for her was Wu Qianyan's dead body.

She gave Fan Qianshi a quick look and asked, ”If I did not return, would you really let Qianyan die?”

After a short pause, Fan Qianshi murmured, ”Yes.”

He knew what Gu Xijiu was expecting him to answer. He could give her an answer that she wished to hear, but he did not want to lie to her. Perhaps, there was no way he could lie to her even if he wanted to.

Lying was essentially part of his life, but never to his master. He never had the courage or the heart to lie in front of Gu Xijiu.

”Master, she is only a servant,” Fan Qianshi added arrogantly.

Gu Xijiu was at a loss of words from his arrogance. ”Qianshi, is there anything that will make you risk your life?”

”There is you, master!” Fan Qianshi answered frankly.

Gu Xijiu continued, ”What if I died?”

”You are the creator of the universe, master. How can you ever die? You should not even joke about it.”

”What if?”

”I am certain that every life form on all six worlds will be sent to the grave along with your death.”

Gu Xijiu was utterly disappointed by his answer. ”Damn it!” She called out while banging the table furiously with her chopsticks.
