At least, he got to spend the night with her, and for that, he was happy.

Apart from that, he was still a little puzzled. At some point during their sweet exchange, Gu Xijiu's eyes flashed a tint of red light when she was at the climax of her sexual excitement. It was only for a second, so if Di Fuyi had not looked her in the eye at the moment it happened, he would not even have realized it.

What puzzled him, even more, was the mysterious source of dark and evil aura that was hidden in the depths of her body. He could feel something while he was inside her body.

At first, he thought it was only a mistake, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt uneasy. He examined her body over and over, but nothing was found. He put his fingers down by her wrist to feel her pulse. Everything was perfectly normal.

He could not help but think if he was over-sensitive. Still worried, he waited until she was sleeping soundly before he used his spiritual power to trace every inch of her veins to make sure that she was fine.

Gu Xijiu woke up from a dreadful nightmare. She had been strolling through a blanket of dense pink mist. From a distance, a child could be heard crying. She followed the voice and found a baby girl in the corner. The baby was only a few months old, looking very sweet and adorable. Her chubby hands and chubby thighs curled up in rolls of fat.

The girl was still crying, making Gu Xijiu's heart sink. She could not resist the instinctive urge to hold the baby. Before she managed to touch her skin, she was surprised to find out that there was a trace of dark energy surrounding the baby girl's body.

Shocked, she stopped to observe the strange encounter. The dark energy around her body strangled the baby, so it was difficult for her to breathe.

The unexplained occurrence baffled her. She decided to perform a spell to dismiss the dark force and free the baby, but while she was waiting for the spell to activate, the dark source of energy suddenly came alive and turned into the form of a snake. Frighteningly quickly, the snake went into the baby's body and disappeared before her eyes.

Gu Xijiu did not see that coming. She scooped the baby up, so she could have a good look at her. Slowly, the baby opened her eyes and said something with difficulty, ”Mother, help me.”

Certainly, she was caught off guard. A bloodshot tint of red replaced her dark eyes. Even her lips turned entirely red, too. ”Hey, mother,” she smilingly said but in a very different tone from before.
