”Impossible!” She defended herself. ”I thought about you every day. I just never showed it.”

”I only heard your inner voice twice,” Di Fuyi teased in a flirtatious manner. ”Perhaps, you are not that into me, after all.”

Gu Xijiu did not see that coming. His last remark rather hurt her as it made it seem that he was unaware of her feelings for him. She was just too busy to announce how much she missed him publicly. She knew that they would not be able to meet anytime soon, so she decided to keep her thoughts to herself. It was only when she was alone and vulnerable that she would express her longing for him.

After trying to recall everything, it seemed like she had truly only mentioned his name twice. But to be fair to her, she did not know that he was able to hear her inner voice.
