Was it his goal all along to invite the people from the Blue Fox planet to the Starry Crescent Land? More worryingly, Fan Qianshi seemed to have placed a specific target on Lan Waihu's back. What was his ultimate purpose in doing so?
Lan Waihu had lived peacefully among the people of the Starry Crescent Land. Even though Little Fox was part of the Blue Fox family's royal bloodline, that did not seem to be a good enough reason to get her so heavily involved in Fan Qianshi's plot. If the man's objective was to get back at Di Fuyi, how could Lan Waihu's involvement achieve that? Did he plan to exploit Di Fuyi's feelings for Gu Xijiu by putting her friend at risk? ”Why did you put in so much effort to plot against Lan Waihu?” Gu Xijiu asked nonchalantly.
”Can you guess?”
”Is it because you had something to benefit from her heritage?”
Fan Qianshi laughed. ”Maybe it is because she is your friend. It could also be because she is from the royal bloodline of the Blue Fox family. Perhaps, I just could not bear to see her being defiled by someone of such a low-class?”
It was clear to Gu Xijiu that his explanations were unreliable. There were undoubtedly other reasons behind Little Fox's involvement. Fan Qianshi could tell immediately that Gu Xijiu was not convinced. In an effort to put the conversation to rest, he sat comfortably opposite her and said, ”Little Xijiu, you can slowly ponder over the details, there is no hurry. The sky was dark blue, and there seemed to be bright stars in close proximity to the battleship. It was so close that it felt as if they could reach it with a stretch of their hands.
