”Liar!” The imposter secretly whispered. The Lan Waihu imposter had continuously been berated by her master for feeding him incorrect information about their planned visit. It was driving him and the troops crazy.
”Xijiu, I don't feel very well today. Can we go tomorrow?” 'Lan Waihu' did not want to do this useless work anymore. Not going at all was better than pretending to go but not actually ending up there.
”You're not feeling well? Where does it hurt? Come, let me check on you.” Gu Xijiu sat next to her and touched her wrist.
'Lan Waihu' was speechless. She forgot that Gu Xijiu was an expert physician! Pretending to be sick would definitely lead to intense questioning, so 'Lan Waihu' quickly pulled her hand away. ”I think I have overeaten; so, I feel very bloated. Perhaps, walking might improve my digestion, so maybe we should go out. Where are we going today?”

”Are you going to do something else first?”

Nonetheless, her promises did not mean much to 'Lan Waihu' anymore. During their last few trips, Gu Xijiu had claimed to receive directed audio messages that required her immediate attention. She would then disappear for the entire day. She had used the same excuse about four times already.
'Lan Waihu' cursed Gu Xijiu in her heart. There was nothing that she could do besides adhering to her requests. After all, she was the Lord, a person who could make the earth tremble with a single stomp on the ground. She could not afford to reject her.
She could not help but look at Yan Chen for some kind of assurance. Yan Chen was expressionless, but he straightened his shirt and said, ”Waihu, go and tidy up yourself; we'll depart soon.”
