”I did not know that you wanted to become the ruler of the Devil Kingdom. What great ambition!” Gu Xijiu said with a tone of sarcasm.

”Xijiu, I have wanted to put an end to their misery for some time now. In the future, I can appoint you as the Devil King. I will even consider Mr. Fuyi for the role if that is what pleases you.”

After he made his last statement, he stared at Gu Xijiu intently in hopes of getting some clues from her expression. However, Gu Xijiu remained composed. ”We can talk about this later. Brother Yun, haven't you said that there is something that you need to tell the Divine Lord? Now that no outsiders are present, I am sure that you can tell me about it, right?”

Yun Yanli stammered. ”About this… Xijiu, it is not that I cannot tell you, but it is a long story.” As he spoke, Yun Yanli tried to peep into the cabin, but he could not see anything as the curtains had blocked the windows.

It had been four or five minutes since the guardians went into the cabin. Meanwhile, some voices could be heard from the distance. In unison, they said, ”Governor.” Four men appeared simultaneously around the carriage and bowed courteously towards Yun Yanli.

These four men were the most capable subordinates that Yun Yanli had. They were also the ones who had met Guardian Jin and Guardian Hua before. The four of them made their way here as soon as they saw the signal. ”Governor, what can we do for you?”

Yun Yanli looked at Gu Xijiu before asking his men, ”Do you still recognize the two Great Guardians from the Devil Kingdom, Jin Mengzhou and Hua Qianjun?”

The men bowed together as they said, ”Yes, we do!”

”Great!” Yun Yanli laughed out loud and grabbed Gu Xijiu's hand.

”Xijiu, I have a show for you!”

Gu Xijiu wanted to break free from his grasp, but she knew that she would not be able to do so. Hence, she let him hold on to her hand. ”What show?” She looked somewhat confused.

Yun Yanli replied with a smirk, ”I am convinced that the two Great Guardians will potentially put Prince Nianmo in danger. They have used false identities to stay undercover by his side. I am here to reveal their true intentions!”
