The secret tunnel was covered entirely in dark green, covering her face with the greenish luminescence. Above her, the upper part of the tunnel was embellished with many luminous pearls, scattered all over like stars in the sky. The pearls combined together into a big picture that resembled an array formation.

Other than the pearls, there was nothing mysterious about the tunnel. The only oddity was the eye-catching color of green everywhere. From a distance, there seemed to be some noise coming from the deepest part of the tunnel.

”Master, why don't we move on? Why are you looking at the pearls?” The Firmament Stone was puzzled.

”These pearls serve as the secret passage in the tunnel. If it remains unsolved, the only thing that awaits at the end of the tunnel is our death,” Gu Xijiu explained. She continued to observe the pearls above.

Occasionally, she would make some calculations at her fingertips. After a while, she raised her hand and pointed at some of the pearls in an orderly manner.

”Whisk!” There was a sudden gust of wind in the all-concealed tunnel. A plume of pale pink smoke soared up from the depths of the tunnel and filled the entire space in pink.

As soon as the smoke appeared, many tiny, green bugs emerged from the walls. Soon, they blended into the smoke in pink. When the smoke began to pass off, all the green bugs laid lifelessly on the ground.

The bugs sank into the ground and disappeared entirely. Soon, the soft, green surface of the ground was replaced by a row of stone slates, all the way into the dark. Gu Xijiu took steady steps on the stones and continued her journey into the unknown.

The Firmament Stone was obviously impressed by her intelligence. It could tell that the bugs were the glow worm. As soon as one approached its territory within a meter, the bug would be alarmed and come alive. Once it touches the skin of the intruder, he or she would be burned alive. The only remains would be the ashes of the person.
