”The previous Lord, Huang Tu. You have been searching everywhere for him, from the Saha World to heaven. I was helping you find the man at one point in time.”

Gu Xijiu did not answer, for she really could not remember.

Yun Yanli noticed her confusion. ”I forgot that you no longer remember the past,” he dismissed the awkwardness with a gentle slap on his forehead.

Gu Xijiu pursed her lips into a tight line. She did not feel very comfortable about the situation. ”I do not remember any of it, but you can try to tell me more; maybe I can recall something,” she said calmly.

There was no way she could avoid it. She was now aware of some fragments in her past, so she had to ask for more information about it. If she did not, she would grow to become even more suspicious and overthink the entire situation.

Yun Yanli sympathized with her helplessness. ”Xijiu, I do not know much about you, but I do know that you were looking for a man in heaven. You told me that he was the previous Lord from the world where you came from. Something must have gone wrong during his immortalization, so you could barely remember anything about him. The only thing that you remembered was to search for him. It was your obsession. We met many Great Immortals that ascended from the Saha World, but none of them was the one that you were looking for.”
