Gu Xijiu was bewildered. ”The pills are yours.”

”What is the difference between what is yours and mine?”

Gu Xijiu did not know how to answer. She was still not convinced about the entire situation.

”I cannot be sure that you are her fiancé based plainly on the bracelet. After all, it is a one-sided statement. I will not simply believe it!” The clan leader wrinkled his brows in disbelief. He looked at Di Fuyi like he was a con man who was here to kidnap his beloved daughter.

Di Fuyi was not troubled by his denial. ”You are not related to her at all. Why should I be concerned if you choose to believe my words or not?”

The clan leader did not know how to respond.

”I do not think that he is entirely trustworthy, too,” Gu Xijiu interrupted. Something told her that it was not the truth. ”Do you have any other proof?”

Di Fuyi thought about it for a moment and asked, ”Do you remember how you look like without the paint?”

Gu Xijiu nodded. She would remove the pain every night before bed, so she surely remembered.
