6 CVN-78 and The other carrier strike groups (2/2)

Lance decided to go for the flight deck to observe the strike group. The aircraft carrier was sailing right in the middle of the convoy. The corners were covered by missile cruisers, and the convoy was protected by missile destroyer. The radar of the CVN-78 can detect a target with a distance more than 400 kilometers, so any threat will be eliminated without ever becoming a threat, what a truly amazing power projection.

Suddenly, a figure approached Lance from behind him. The figure poked Lance's back, ”Hey there tovarisch, why do your eyes always look so empty when you're looking at something? Comrade is here to help you with a shot of vodka and a piece of good Russian advice,” he said as he embraced lance from the back.

”Thank you, Dima, but I passed on the first one,” He said to Dima, who was wearing a BDU for Navy and a four-star on his clothes.

”Haha, I see, so Lance, what do you have on mind right now? Just like I said, Comrade is here for ya,” Dima said with his thick Russian accent as sea wind blew his cap away.

”Hmm Dima, I'm a bit confused right now, you see, do you know how to do a diplomatic solution to take someone else belongings right from his front door without he gets angry and tried to take it back,” Lance said.

Dima crossed his hands, ”Well, Lance, What do you mean by this belongings, and who do you mean by he?”

”These belongings that I mean is my land, at least it used to. The he I mean in this context is the king and the landlord himself,” Lance said to Dima.

”Peacefully and fairly?” Dima asked him with an unsatisfied face.

”Yes,” Lance replied.

”Well, you can build up everything from scratch by the first step, which is getting noticed by the landlords. From that point, you can build up a relationship with the king and get some nobility status. After that the king will give you a piece of land somewhere in the region. If everything went smoothly, I say it will take about twenty years or so. My point is if everything went smoothly,” Dima explained to him.

”Might as well live as a normal family and live in the mainland for the rest of my lifetime Dima. What do you mean by everything went smoothly?” Lance asked him again.

”Smoothly mean that everything went according to plan. We don't even know who the person that was sinking your ship was. We don't know if the kingdom still wants you. We don't know if there are any possibilities that the kingdom actually wants to assassinate you. We don't even know the secret ingredients of the tsar vodka,” Dima explained everything that he worried about.

”I agree with you, except for the last point. Even does the kingdom wants me to disappear? Why?” Lance asked Dima.

A breeze of wind hit our face, and this time was a bit warmer because the air was coming out of the afterburner of the F/A-18, ”Any reason for assassinating your family is considered as invalid if the king was the one that requested it. Tsar would kill anyone that he wants to kill just by pointing his hands at the person, any question left?” Dima asked Lance.

”In my mind, a peaceful diplomatic is simply by making some agreements with the landlord or the king himself. Maybe it will take longer, but the outcome will result in less conflict and better future,” Lance gave out his idea of peaceful diplomatic with the high brass.

”Not that I hate that idea, but I also don't like it either,” Dima said.

”What's on your mind then?” Lance asked him again for his advice.

”A peaceful diplomatic solution by the mean of intimidation and fast and accurate power projection.”
