Chapter 341 I’m Your Cousin (1/2)
Lu AnLing led Tang Bingyi aside without problem. Usually, any normal person would feel pressured due to the cryptic atmosphere surrounding Lu AnLing, but Tang Bingyi had attended a great many business meetings, and so, this atmosphere was one she was at her most comfortable in.
”Look, I'm going to tell you something that you might not believe...” Lu AnLing's heart began to beat slightly in her ears. She felt a bit nervous, but a part of her felt that there was no need. Taking a deep breath and looking into Tang Bingyi eyes, Lu AnLing said, ”I'm your cousin.”
Lu AnLing expected shock; complete earth shattering shock. However, when she looked straight at Tang Bingyi, she noticed that the woman's face was blank.
”You're uncle Lang's daughter?” Tang Bingyi said naturally.
Shaking her head, Lu AnLing frowned. ”Who? No! I'm Tang Yian's daughter.”
”Okay?... then who is Yiling?” Tang Bingyi asked curiously.
”She's still your cousin.” Lu AnLing said simply, but knowing she wouldn't be able to explain it well enough, Lu AnLing said, ”if you don't believe me, I think you should ask your mom...”
Tang Bingyi had a face of complete confusion now as she questioned the situation. It was not necessarily that she didn't believe Lu AnLing, but right at that moment, Tang Bingyi had realized that someone must have lied to her...
So Tang Bingyi did as Lu AnLing had said, she immediately called her mother.
”Bingyi? What's wrong?” Madame Tang said with a slightly nervous voice.
There was no need to be nervous by just receiving a call from her daughter... so this made Tang Bingyi slightly suspicious.
”Is Lu AnLing my cousin?” Tang Bingyi asked simply.
She just wanted a yes or no answer. No beating around the bush.
Knowing her daughter well, Madame Tang did not hesitate to answer.
”Yes...” Madame Tang started as she slightly sighed. Madame Tang had not expecting this turn of events. Lu AnLing wanted to destroy her father's reality, but why had she started with Tang Bingyi? Feeling her heart palpitate, Madame Tang spoke once more, ”But let me explain!”
Tang Bingyi did not give her mother time, instead she asked, ”Who is her father?”
There was a sudden pause but then, Madame Tang said, ”Yian.”
Tang Bingyi: ”Then Yiling is?”
”She's Lang's daughter...” Madame Tang said, practically whispering.
”Why?” Tang Bingyi then said.
Hearing this, Madame Tang immediately said, ”Why what?”
There was a sudden pause. This time initiated by Tang Bingyi. When Tang Bingyi finally spoke again, there was something different about her voice. Something which sounded like immense disappointment.
Tang Bingyi: ”You knew about this, so why didn't you tell me or even grandfather the truth?”
It was easy for Tang Yiling to determine that her grandfather didn't know. If he had, he would have wanted to be closer to Lu AnLing...
