Chapter 196 Pleasure (1/2)

Feeling a strong urge to spoil his granddaughter in law, Elder Kang couldn't help but reply,

”I'll continue as planned then.”

As Elder Kang said this, Lu AnLing and Kang Jun shared a look of excitement in their eyes.

Feeling as if that was all, Elder Kang said, ”If there is anything else you need, contact me any time. Don't only rely on Jun! If there is one thing us old people love to do, it's to dote on the younger generations.”

Hearing this, Lu AnLing smiled and said, ”Actually, there's something I'd like for you to do...”

Hearing this, the old man's happiness peeked. He gave a toothy grin as he pressed his ear harder to his phone.

”What is it my dear,” he asked impatiently.

Lu AnLing: ”Someday soon, would you like to come over for dinner, at our home? You see, my grandmother will be coming over, and I fear that she will feel strange if she's the only elder there, so—”

Not letting Lu AnLing finish her sentence, Elder Kang exclaimed happily, ”Yes, Yes! I will definitely come. Just tell me when and I'll make it.”

The excitement in the man's voice was apparent. So much so that Lu AnLing couldn't help but laugh out loud.

”I'll do that. Thank you very much, grandfather.” Lu AnLing said.

Elder Kang: ”My dear, it is my pleasure!”

Lu AnLing wanted to arrange a meeting with Grandma Lu sooner rather than later to clear any animosity the woman had for the Kang's, however, the two optimal days, where both grandparents could make it, Lu AnLing was unable.

On one of the days, Lu AnLing had already planned on going to the reunion. And even if she really didn't want to go, she had already promised, so she had no choice.

While the other day—today— Lu AnLing had an important business meeting with Mo Yichen.

She had expected it to be at the Halo Stars Entertainment building but just as she finished dressing herself up, Kang Jun walked into the room and said,

”If you're ready, Mr. Long is here to drive us.”

Lu AnLing cocked her head. Seeing her confused expression, Kang Jun walked up to her and kissed her cherry red lips.

Kang Jun: ”Today you're meeting the major members of the Infinity Project at Kang Corporations.”

Hearing this, Lu AnLing's eyes grew wide with shock, ”Wasn't I just going to meet Mo Yichen?”

Kang Jun shook his head no. ”Maybe Yichen didn't phrase it properly, but you've already been approved to work on the project. We just need to discuss certain things and then sign the contract.”

Lu AnLing couldn't believe her ears and remained in a daze until she arrived in the underground parking of the Kang Corporation.

Once there, Kang Jun escorted the girl to his private elevator while Mr. Long parked his taxi unhappily.

Lu AnLing, Kang Jun and Mr. Long made their way up to the top floor of the building. In the elevator, Kang Jun treated Mr. Long as air as he wrapped his arms around Lu AnLing's waist and then kissed the nape of her neck. Usually, she was the type to be embarrassed by public displays of affection but Kang Jun's mannerisms had rubbed off on her and she had become much more shameless these past few months.

Looking down at her outfit, from her shoulder, Kang Jun felt his body heat up. The girl was wearing a light pink blouse and a pencil skirt. She looked like a sexy secretary and this made the man want her, but Kang Jun wasn't going to say this. He couldn't let his desires get the better of him today!

”Jun... ” Lu AnLing said softly.

”Mmm,” Kang Jun said as his lips were pressed onto her neck.

”Do you really think I can do this?”

Ever since Kang Jun had offered her the job, Lu AnLing had been worried about this. She wasn't sure if she was good enough to work on the project, mostly after Kang Jun had told her how important it was.

What if the other members became agitated once they learned how young she was? Or what if she messed up? Wouldn't this look bad for both Kang Jun and Mo Yichen who had vouched for her?

The pressure on her shoulders was immense.

Immediately sensing her unease, Kang Jun turned Lu AnLing around and looked deeply into her eyes and said,

”Believe in yourself, my love, just like I believing you.”

Hearing this, Lu AnLing's eyes filled with immense love.

In the corner, Mr. Long felt a strong urge to gouge his eyes out and cut his ears off. He tried to look away from them, but his eyes always wandered back so he was forced to watch the couple. And as much as he wanted to hang himself, he couldn't help but observe how much his boss had changed. The warmth and affection resonating from him alone was something Mr. Long believed he would have never been able to see, but here it was happening.

Looking at Lu AnLing, he couldn't help but admit that she might have actually been an expert beast tamer in her past life. No one else on earth could have caused such a miracle.

Once they arrived at the floor Mr. Long quickly stepped out of the elevator and said,

”Your guests should be here, I'll prepare refreshments.”
