62 Questioning (1/2)

The following morning after Simon finished training Sagar he made his way to a room located on the fourth floor. The room itself was pretty normal covered with different kinds of furniture such as tables, chairs and some sofas but inside was Bella Drak who was currently going over some paperwork. Seeing that her husband walked in she put her work down asking him, ”You usually don't visit when I'm working do you need something?”

Simon paid no head to her formal tone as that was just how Bella was whenever she was working or doing something important. She's changes her attitude once she's finished or having a bit of free time to do other things. Wanting to get out of her hair quickly Simon asked, ”Where's that little girl I have something to ask her about her boy?”

Bella figured out that Simon was talking about Beatrice as it was sometimes hard to know who he's talking about just based on his nicknames especially for the younger generation. You had to use context clues and try your best to figure out who exactly he was talking about. Bella had known this man for years so it didn't take much to guess who he was talking about, ”She actually has the day off today so she's spending time with her family. If you want I could ask someone to bring her here.”

Nodding at his wife's request, Bella complied by calling a servant who was told to bring Beatrice here immediately. Five minutes later Beatrice walked into the room grumbling, ”Bella I thought I had the day off today.”, upon seeing that Simon was there she coughed a bit and changed her tone, ”What did you need me for?”

”I wasn't the one that needed something from you, it was my husband here. Apparently it's something about your son.”, Bella told Beatrice.

Sitting down on some furniture in the room Beatrice asked Simon somewhat concerned, ”Is there something my son did?”

Shaking his head Simon told her, ”No, nothing of the sort. He's a good lad, instead what I want to ask about is something I witnessed yesterday?”

Wondering what Simon was talking about she thought about what Sagar said he did yesterday. He said that he trained with Simon in the morning and then went out with the girls bringing Aquilia along with them returning in the late afternoon. Though Sagar didn't come back with the girls as according to Talia he said that he would go out on a walk to take care of some business. He returned a bit late but she didn't question him about it as she figured that whatever he went to do took longer than he thought it would.

Waving his hand Simon made a barrier around the entire room. usually these types of barrier were used to isolate any sort of sound made within it. ”Yesterday I saw your boy take out a group of six Experts by himself with only some injuries. If it was just that I wouldn't be talking to you currently, no instead it's what your boy used in his fight that bring you to me right now.”

Bella was trying to guess what her husband was talking about but Beatrice knew full well what Simon meant and the fact that he raised this isolated barrier further assured her about what Simon was going to ask her. Seeing the look on Beatrice's face Simon was a bit amused but he still remained serious. ”Your son didn't seem all to concerned when I brought up that I was watching the fight the entire time. Either he knew that I would keep his secret for him or maybe he had some other thought in his mind. It doesn't matter really but I want to ask you Beatrice why you kept the fact that Sagar could use both internal energy and mana a secret?”

Hearing the words come out of her husband's mouth Bella couldn't believe what she was hearing but looking at both Beatrice and Simon's face she could tell that he wasn't joking. ”Simon, are you absolutely sure about this?”
