Chu Yunsheng knitted his brows and converged his energy into his hands. He then patted out the fire on the back of his trousers.

Having clothes burned during battle happened fairly often. Especially, to those people who had awakened their fire energy ability.

That was the reason why there was so much demand for the combat suit in Shu Du City. Not only would it protect people by providing some additional energy resistance, but it would also provide them with some physical protection as well.

To some extent, Tang Yi’s birthday banquet was no longer just her birthday celebration. It was a place for all the powerful people in Shu Du City to meet each other. However, Chu Yunsheng’s target was not in the hall, it was upstairs.

Chu Yunsheng was extremely anxious. But it was not because of the officers in the hall.

He tried his best to pretend that he was just one of the guests that had accidentally come into the mansion. He just casually walked along the edges of the hall until he reached the stairs.

He then quickly went upstairs and headed towards the location of the map.

Chu Yunsheng got closer and closer to the map, he could feel it quite clearly.

Just when he was about to reach the end of the corridor and take a turn, he suddenly heard a creaking sound of someone opening a door.

Chu Yunsheng immediately leaned against the wall and then carefully moved his head forward.

What he saw was an officer’s back, and the officer was walking towards another staircase on the other side of the building.

‘That officer has the map!!!’

He turned around to look at his back to check if anyone was following him.

But just when he was about to come out, the officer suddenly stopped.

One second, two seconds, three seconds…

The officer just stopped there and didn’t do anything.

The officer’s body shook visibly, and then he began to quickly walk towards the stairs.

Seeing the officer speed up, Chu Yunsheng quickly came out of the corner and began to chase him.

However, the officer speeded up once more. He quickly went down the stairs and disappeared into the crowd of officers who were all wearing the same dress.

But in the next second, he suddenly thought of something that made his heart sink. ‘The officer probably also detected the connection between the map and the book. He was hiding from me! But why? Who is he?’

‘What should I do?’
