The old man, who took over Chu Yunsheng’s aunt’s house, was extremely anxious. He had been living in this housing estate for quite a while, he knew what kind of person Boss Bai was. Boss Bai might not be the kind of person who liked killing people, but he was definitely not a good person.

This area was his territory, although he hasn’t stepped out of line before, everyone that lived here, even his son, who worked for the General Research Department (GRD), also did not want to offend him in any way. Every week they also had to pay a security fee to exchange for safety.

The world was in a mess, the police force was useless, those dark warriors were often not scared of guns. The only people that could control them were dark warriors themselves. That was why the General Command Headquarters (GCH) would allow those groups to exist.

Since his son got into the GRD, they no longer worried about the food problem anymore. His family was finally able to settle down after they moved into the house that his son exchanged using food.

Apart from paying the security fee to Boss Bai, and having some refugees broken into the building stealing stuff from them and having some dark warriors broken into the building to rape some girls a few times, no other bad things had happened to them.

Originally, he thought that this young man, who broke into his house with two dark warriors, was there to have some fun. That was why he locked all the female family members in the bedroom.

But he didn’t expect that this guy was just here to look for his relatives.

However, when he saw that Boss Bai also couldn’t do anything to this guy, he knew that he was in big trouble. If this guy wanted to get the flat back, they would not be able to do anything to stop the man from getting it.

Having a house in Jin Ling city was extremely important to them. Although they could use food to buy a house, it did not mean that the house in Jin Ling city was worthless. Before they had a flat, they were sleeping on the street, and the danger of sleeping on the street was that coldness could easily take their life away at any time. The old man was extremely anxious, he did not know what to do. In his mind, he was having two contradictory thoughts at the same time.

On one hand, he was hoping that this guy wouldn’t be able to find his relatives, so they wouldn’t get the flat back from him. On the other hand, he was worried that if this guy could not find his relatives, he might take the anger out on them. He might even kill all of his family members to vent his anger.

But Chu Yunsheng did not give the old man too much time to think. Soon, they arrived at the General Research Department.

Before they drove near the GRD, they were stopped by the patrol that consisted of regular soldiers that were equipped with a.s.sault rifles and a few dark warriors. If they wanted to carry on driving forwards, they would need to show them the pa.s.s. Otherwise, they would be killed if they wanted to break in.

“What’s your son’s name? What position? And which department?” Chu Yunsheng turned around and said sternly.

“Ah!” the old man was startled. His anxious thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Chu Yunsheng.

“His name is Chéng Bǐngwén, he is an information collector, working under the new food research department. This is all I know,” the old man mumbled reluctantly.
