Chu Yunsheng and Lan Chaoyin were heading towards the west on the national highway, in the pitch-black suburb. Because of the limited visibility, broken cars, and the bodies on the highway, they couldn’t drive very fast.
A lot of regular citizens also started to come out of the fog city, most of them did not have any transportation tools. But since they all knew Jin Ling city was the safest city, they all headed towards the west.
Some of them took the clothes from dead bodies and used the petrol they found in the broken cars to make fire torches. Soon, many fire torches began to appear one after another in the dark. Chu Yunsheng was very concerned with such a ma.s.sive crowd. They had so many fire torches, it would easily attract the green-sh.e.l.led insects.
But they couldn’t tell them to put out the fire, it was very dark outside of the city, without any light sources, they wouldn’t be able to see anything.

The division commander’s livid face twitched repeatedly, “wait!!!” he gritted his teeth and shouted.

“It’s an order, I said 23:00, then it will be 23:00, I’ll not retreat one second earlier, or wait one second more!” the division commander clenched his gun and said sternly while watching the soldiers fighting at the front.
Seeing the division commander Yang was so determined. The political commissar’s body started to tremble, suddenly, he kneeled down, and cried out loud, “Lao Yang, please, order them to retreat, please, I am begging you! They’re all just kids! They haven’t even reached nineteen!”
Commander Yang suddenly felt a sharp pain in his heart, he immediately held up the politician commissar, “Lao Quan! Why are you doing this!? They were startled and instantly took out the infrared binoculars. At the front line, just right behind the insect’s swarm, a thin long tank gun slowly appeared in the dark. Then a group of awakened warriors quickly rushed out and started to attack the red-sh.e.l.led insects from behind!
Some of the soldiers couldn’t help but shout excitedly, “it’s the 218th regiment, it’s the 218th regiment!”
Yang Baili finally sighed with relief. He then shouted, “Du Qishang you b.a.s.t.a.r.d!”
