Looking up immediately, Chu Yunsheng discovered that it was Zhang Zicheng that was taken away by the insect.

He was struggling violently while shouting in horror, but he still couldn’t get off the thorn.

On top of bus no.1, the machine gunner was shooting at the insect frantically in panic. Chu Yunsheng didn’t know if he knew that his bullets could also hit Zhang Zicheng.

The flying insect wheeled in the sky a few circles before it bit off Zhang Zicheng’s head and threw away his body, then it dived down again. This time, it was heading directly towards the machine gunner!

“Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!!!” Chu Yunsheng saw Zhong Nan jump on the bus, laid p.r.o.ne on top of the bus and shouted.

But it was too late, the flying insect seemed to have locked on the machine gunner. It flew over the crowd once again, hooked the machine gunner using the back of its legs and took him away.

Zhong Nan stopped the battalion commander, who was about to take over the machine gun, and said sternly and slowly, “don’t shoot!…”

The enraged flying insect quickly tore the machine gunner apart, and then carried on wheeling on top of the crowd looking for a new target.

The rest of the two flying insects eventually left after having killed dozens of people. Then the scattered crowd once again gathered together as if nothing had happened.

Zhong Nan was calculating the damages and casualties on the truck, Chu Yunsheng simply reported to him, and then jumped off the truck. He wanted to take a close look at the flying insect’s body. He was not close to the place where the troops shot down the monster.

Apparently, the flying insect didn’t die immediately when it was shot down, only until the troops spent quite a lot of ammunition and also with the help of the awakened warriors, did they finally kill it completely.

When Chu Yunsheng arrived, the place had already been blocked by the troops, he could only observe the body from outside.

The flying insect’s color was different from that of red sh.e.l.led insects’, it was green, and its body was covered with seemingly much stronger sh.e.l.ls. Based on his observation, the flying insect mainly used the thorns of its feet to tear the prey apart, and used its sharp beak to peck.

Looking at the flying insect’s thorn and sharp beak, Chu Yunsheng wasn’t sure if his armor would be strong enough to protect him from a flying insect’s attack.

While he was trying to find a way to get closer, Dong Sheng university’s research team finally arrived at the scene and started to slowly cut the insect into pieces. Luckily, they knew Chu Yunsheng was one of the awakened warriors, so he was granted permission to get close to the insect.

The research team named this type of insect: Green-sh.e.l.led insect. They wanted to dissect the body and study its physiological structure. However, during the cut-up process, one of the researchers was burned by the liquid that burst out from the insect’s organ.

They had also granted Chu Yunsheng the permission to test the strength of the sh.e.l.l. As expected, the flying insect’s sh.e.l.l was much stronger than that of red-sh.e.l.led insects’. He needed to infuse one unit of Yuan Qi into the sword in order to cut the sh.e.l.l into halves.

After testing it, Chu Yunsheng was quite worried, but fortunately, there weren’t many of those insects. Otherwise, if the sky were full of those insects, humans would be wiped out from this planet very soon.

Chu Yunsheng was dispirited. The drastic change made everyone feel the same way. People were slowly moving forward, but the scene of flying insects wheeling in the sky and diving down to kill humans and they couldn’t even fight back, still appeared in their mind from time to time. It was like a huge rock on everyone’s chest, it made them couldn’t breathe.

Qian Deduo had been told off by Zhong Nan, he was sitting in the corner constantly sighing. Yu Xiaohai also stayed in the corner practicing his ability, perhaps, the killing caused him to rethink what he should do now. Chu Yunsheng hoped that he would continue like this.

The truck began to move as well. It was b.u.mping up and down, slowly moving forwards. Chu Yunsheng had already got back on the truck and went back to meditate again.

He was mentally exhausted after cultivating Yuan Qi for a whole day. When he was in a light trance, he heard some intermittent noises, some of them seemed to be Qian Deduo’s voice. Chu Yunsheng was alerted and opened his eyes immediately. He then noticed that everyone in the fourth team and the fifth team had all been gathered together again, and Yu Xiaohai was just about to wake him up.

The hazy light in the sky was completely gone now. Chu Yunsheng at his watch, it was 23 o’clock. It should be night time if it was still in the age of light.

Qian Deduo seemed to have restored his energy. He whispered, “Brother Chu, the food factory is very near now, we are moving out now. Later on, everyone get off the truck one by one, be quiet, don’t make any noise, Zhou Tingyun, you stay on the truck, in case Captain is looking for us.”

“Why me again?” Zhou Tingyun did not seem to be happy about it.

Qian Deduo said quietly, “of course it’s you, you are the weakest in the group, and still have not recovered your energy. If there was any danger, would you even be able to run away?” Then he tried to console her, “please watch our back, when we get back, we will definitely give you one share. You don’t even need to take the risk yourself. It’s a good thing, why are you complaining?”

Zhou Tingyun pressed her lips together very hard for a moment, and then blurted out, “I know you are looking down on me!”

Qian Deduo knitted his eyebrows and threatened her, “are you gonna do it or not, Zhou Tingyun, if you are not listening, then leave our group, you can join Qin Heng’s group, it does not make any difference for our fifth team to fight without you! ”
