~ Seattle, the Alpha group ~

8:32 AM

All the heads in the hallway of the main entrance turned toward the door when a gorgeous blonde entered.

Her white elbow-length shirt and a light blue flowy knee-length skirt cover up most of her body, however, they are unable to hide her full chest, narrow waist, and perfect legs which are accentuated with light blue high-heeled shoes.

Most of the men present thought that she has some mystical powers, because the time stopped when she tilted her head, swaying her long wavy blonde hair. And the sun shone brighter when she removed her Gucci sunglasses, revealing her deep blue eyes.

After a few seconds of silent staring, people started whispering who the gorgeous blonde is.

Of course, that is Sabrina Anderson, but not everyone knows that because she does not come to the Alpha group often and her name does not show up in gossips.

Sabrina smiled as her eyes moved over the entry hall. It's been a long time since her last visit. She would come here often when she was younger, but since her interior design business started, she would find herself too busy to check on Nathan and her brothers. Well, even now it's not a social visit, she needs to talk to Max, and he said that this is a good time, before his meetings start at 9 AM.

Sabrina walked toward the elevators and smiled while memories of her childhood tied up to this building resurfaced in her mind.

”Miss… Miss!”, the receptionist called as Sabrina passed the reception on her way toward the elevators.

Sabrina does not come here often, but she has the access card (similar to the one Liz has).

Sabrina halted her steps. ”Yes?”

”Excuse me, but can I see your employee badge?” The reception asked with irritation obvious in her voice.

The receptionist saw Sabrina (aka the mysterious blonde) come in, everyone did. And the receptionist thought how Sabrina will come and talk to her, ask to see someone, but Sabrina just walked by the reception like she owns the place!

Sabrina was about to reach into her purse and get her access card, but she stopped herself when she noticed the receptionist's haughtiness.

Sabrina glanced at the nametag of the receptionist before responding. ”I don't have one, Faith.”

Faith (aka the receptionist) was taken aback by the confidence in Sabrina's voice. ”Oh. So… do you know where you are going?”

Sabrina confirmed. ”I'm going to see Max.”

Faith narrowed her eyes in confusion. ”Max?”

”Maximilian Anderson.”, Sabrina clarified.

Faith's eyes flashed when she realized that Sabrina is going to see THE Maximilian Anderson.

”Do you have an appointment?”

Sabrina tilted her head while wondering, why is this receptionist giving her attitude? She remembered Liz's story about how she had a bad experience when she came to see Max. Liz said that the receptionist assumed how she is a random woman from the street who is trying to get close to Max and didn't even call Max to confirm if he is expecting her.

Sabrina masked her displeasure behind a smile. ”I don't need an appointment to see Max.”

Faith lifted her chin defiantly. ”Everyone needs an appointment to see the future CEO. If you don't have one and are insisting on going in, I will call the security to escort you out.”

Sabrina looked at the pompous receptionist and shook her head inwardly. As much as she would like to give a lesson to this woman, Sabrina does not have time for that. She wants to talk to Max before 9 AM and go to her work.

”I can assure you that I don't need an appointment.”, Sabrina said with a smile and moved to go to the elevators.

In two swift steps, the receptionist blocked her. ”Who do you think you are?”

Sabrina was losing her patience. ”Who do you think I am?”

Faith's eyes flashed with irritation. ”Why do you think that you can…?”

Another receptionist got between Sabrina and Faith, pushing Faith back. ”I apologize Miss Anderson. She is new and she didn't recognize you.”

Sabrina forced a smile and narrowed her eyes at Faith. ”Even if she is new, she should go through some training on how to treat people who come here.”

Faith trembled as cold sweat trickled down her back. ”Anderson? I apologize, it was an honest mistake…”

”Yes, Anderson. THE Anderson!”, Sabrina said angrily. ”And you would know that if you asked me about my name instead of blocking me and coming up with wild ideas. Now, if you excuse me, I don't have the time to chat with you or to teach you how to do your job…” Sabrina made a step toward elevators and then paused. She turned to the second receptionist. ”I hope that you can tell your manager how unprofessional Faith is and ensure that she gets trained before approaches potential partners, because if I see her at the reception on my way out, I will ensure that neither of you works at the Alpha group again.” Sabrina glared at Faith. ”It's your luck that you bumped into me. Because if I am someone else, your honest mistake could ruin a multi-million deal for the company. Your job is to greet people who come in and to make them feel welcome and respected, and not to treat them like trash!”

Both receptionists swayed slightly. Sabrina is fierce!
