Sara stared back at the woman staring at her, feeling intimidated by the queen's presence, unable to move, as if Katherina's eyes were looking directly to her naked thoughts, her face was void of emotions as she wore a placid expression, the two women stared silently at each other for about a minute before the attention got the best of Sara and couldn't keep looking at the woman anymore, for some reason, she felt exposed, she bowed her head politely to the queen and murmured some greetings before turning to leave, only to be stopped by the queen's next words..

”What brought you here? ” Katherina asked firmly

Sara gulped before turning slowly, deciding to go with the story she has been telling all the night ”I am here to attend the ball with my future family in la..”

”Oh stop lying i know who you are.. why aren't you in the shack with your father? ”

Sara's eyes were wild open, so the queen knew who she was? and more importantly, her father was in the shack? what was he doing there?

”H.. how do you know w.. who am i? ”

Katherina smiled bitterly before answering ”It is as if i am looking at Historia, you look exactly like your mother” Sara didn't miss the pain in the queen's voice, Historia, that was her mother's name, but who was her mother? a flash of curiosity appeared in Sara's eyes

”You know my mother?”

”I met her once, i wanted to meet the woman who captured the heart of the man i love” Katherina replied calmly, there was no sign of hostility in her voice, just deep sadness, Sara didn't miss that, this woman, didn't hate her nor she hated her mother, she was just, sad...

Sara gathered her courage quickly, deciding to take the opportunity to know more about herself, she took a deep breath before saying

”Your Highness, i swear to you, i mean no harm to you nor your family, and now that my father isn't here, i will leave and you will never see or hear from me again, but please, i beg you, tell me who i am, and why my father casted me away, these questions are agonising, please te... ”
