795 The God of the Underworld Returns (1/2)

Emperor Wu You knelt on the ground, as humble as a slave. If the members of the Underworld saw this scene, they would have thought that they had gone mad and were hallucinating.

Shen Jing's gaze was blank. Her figure slowly floated up, and a formless pressure spread out from her body. Just as the pressure appeared, however, it instantly disappeared without a trace. It was as though nothing had ever happened. Shen Jing closed her eyes, seemingly descending into a deep sleep.

Emperor Wu You raised both of his hands and used the power of his mind to slowly carry her before him. He did not dare to touch her body, and it seemed as though to do so would be blasphemy.

”Lord God of the Underworld, Wu You will now bring you back to the Underworld. The day you awaken will be the day the worlds change.”

Emperor Wu You's eyes were full of emotion. He was the high and mighty Emperor Wu You of the Underworld, but right now, he was now like a gleeful child. After countless years of attempts at reincarnation, the God of the Underworld had finally returned.

The stars moved and the night sky that enveloped the courtyard silently disappeared as it became early morning. It was as though everything that had happened had just been an illusion. The rays of dawn shone over the entire courtyard.

However, Emperor Wu You and Shen Jing were nowhere to be seen. Only Qin Xiaoyou lay on the ground.

In the sky above, a light flashed and suddenly two silhouettes appeared. It was Mo Qingtian and Mo Wen who rushed here as quickly as possible. In a glance, Mo Wen took in the scene in the courtyard. His expression instantly became grim. A cold Qi exploded uncontrollably from his body.

”That confidante of yours must have been kidnapped by Emperor Wu You.”

Mo Qingtian looked at Mo Wen with a strange expression. Before this, after Mo Wen felt an ominous premonition, Mo Qingtian had quickly brought Mo Wen here. However, they were still one step too late. They did not even manage to catch a glimpse of Emperor Wu You's shadow.

The dignified Emperor Wu You, one of the most honorable figures in the Underworld, had actually plotted meticulously to infiltrate the Source World simply in order to kidnap a mortal woman. This seemed extremely strange. They were talking about Emperor Wu You, not just some random small fry. Why would he need to come personally just to kidnap and ordinary woman? The ulterior motive behind his actions would most likely be extraordinary.

”Mo Wen, is there anything extraordinary about this confidante of yours?” Mo Qingtian could not help but ask.

Mo Wen's expression was unstable. Shen Jing indeed had many extraordinary qualities; however, he naturally would not share this with others. Recalling Shen Jing's ominous premonition, he finally understood where it had come from. He had simply never imagined that the incident would involve Emperor Wu You of the Underworld!

Seeing Mo Wen remain silent, Mo Qingtian knew not to pry further. However, this was no small matter. The level of involvement was very large; most likely the Spirit Realm would come out and inquire about it.

Mo Wen flew into the courtyard and held Qin Xiaoyou in his arms. After inspecting her body and discovering that she had just fainted, his expression relaxed slightly. He pressed his finger at the bottom of her neck. Qin Xiaoyou cried out softly. Her eyelids trembled and slowly opened.

”Xiaoyou, are you alright?” Mo Wen asked anxiously as he held the girl in his embrace.

Qin Xiaoyou shook her drowsy head. Why had she suddenly fallen asleep, and why was she still so tired?

However, seeing that Mo Wen had returned, Qin Xiaoyou's heart instantly brightened up. ”Mo Wen, you are back? Sister Shen Jing was just talking about you.” She hugged Mo Wen's waist happily.

Cough! Cough!

Mo Qingtian stood behind Mo Wen, coughing twice to alert them to his presence. Qin Xiaoyou suddenly noticed that someone else was in the courtyard. Her face instantly turned as pink as a peach blossom. She hurriedly let go of Mo Wen, a look of embarrassment filling her eyes.

”Did you see anything just now?” Mo Wen asked softly.

”Just now?” Qin Xiaoyou blinked as she tilted her head and thought carefully. Her eyes suddenly opened wide. ”That's right. Before this, I was talking with Sister Shen Jing. Then, suddenly the sky turned dark and a silhouette dressed in white approached us from the starry sky. After that, I fell asleep. Maybe I was hallucinating. By the way, where is Sister Shen Jing?”

Qin Xiaoyou had just noticed that Shen Jing was not in the courtyard. Wasn't she waiting for Mo Wen to return like a wife waiting for her husband to return from war? How was it that Mo Wen had returned and she had disappeared?

”Shen Jing… she's gone missing.” Mo Wen took a deep breath. He did not know how to explain it to Qin Xiaoyou.

”Missing!” Qin Xiaoyou's eyes were wide open. How could someone that she had just been talking to go missing in the blink of an eye? She did not believe it. She searched the courtyard but could not find Shen Jing.

”What's going on? Why has Sister Shen Jing gone missing?” Qin Xiaoyou asked anxiously. She suddenly felt that something was badly wrong.

”I will explain later. Right now, I have matters to attend to, and I must leave immediately.”

Mo Wen knew that if Emperor Wu You had intentionally made the trip just to kidnap Shen Jing, he would certainly return to the Underworld from the passageway in the cleft space. Right now, he had to rush straight back there. Maybe he could still intercept them.

”Mo Wen, Sister Shen Jing asked me to tell you this. She said that she loves you. The Hope Diamond represents your love. If you also love her, no matter what challenges you may face, please don't let her go, please don't...”
