672 Nangong Mingzhu (2/2)

Of course, in theory, a spiritual weapon could continue to rise through the grades through the cultivation of an immortal cultivator. It could become a profound level weapon, an evolved spiritual treasure…

But in actual fact, such instances were extremely rare. The rise through the grades of a spiritual weapon had very much to do with the cultivation of an immortal cultivator. However, it had even more to do with the material of the spiritual weapon. For example, if the material of the spiritual weapon was very ordinary, then it would be extremely difficult to cultivate it to the next grade.

If the material of the spiritual weapon was a top grade treasure, then even if it was a low-grade spiritual treasure right after it had been made, it could continue to rise through the grades and possibly become an evolved spiritual treasure through the cultivation of an immortal cultivator.

There were many differences between immortal cultivators and ordinary cultivators. The use of spiritual treasures was just one. However, one could tell whether one was an immortal cultivator or an ordinary warrior through the way they used spiritual weapons.

The Jade Green Cicada Wings spiritual treasure of the woman in white was cultivated by herself. It was usually hidden and she would be able to release it with a single thought.

The Jade Green Cicada Wings was just a mid-grade spiritual treasure but when the woman in white, who was the owner and cultivator of the wings, used them then the power of the wings was just as powerful as a profound level weapon would be in the hands of a warrior.

The jade shone brightly. Nangong Mingzhu narrowed the distance between her and Mo Wen. With the help of the Jade Green Cicada Wings, Nangong Mingzhu's speed was shocking.

In just moments, Nangong Mingzhu caught up with Mo Wen and she flashed by him.

She lifted her chin slightly and looked at Mo Wen coldly and proudly. Then, she ignored him and flew forward looking like a preening and victorious peacock.

”What's she so proud about!” Mo Wen rolled his eyes and harrumphed so softly it almost could not be heard. Then, he continued flying forward, looking rather dispirited.

Even though the Glory of Wind technique was powerful, Mo Wen's cultivation was not as strong as Nangong Mingzhu. She was an immortal cultivator and had the divine movement technique as well as flying spiritual weapons that she could use to boost her power. He could no longer catch up, even if he were to risk his life, and there was no use in trying to do so. There was no way for him to close the distance between them.

Behind them, Chu Yuan, who was wearing black robes, continued flying forward in an unhurried manner. His jade green eyes stared at Nangong Mingzhu, his eyes shining brightly for some reason. He was probably the only one who knew of Nangong Mingzhu's true identity.

At first, he had thought that there was only a weak martial arts grandmaster leading those from Demonic Sky and therefore he saw no threat to the Ghost Lair. However, he had not expected that Demonic Sky had plotted against him while he planned to plot against them. He had also not expected that the true leader of the Demonic Sky who had come this time would be Nangong Mingzhu.

Fortunately, the tower spirit was in charge of the rules and order inside the Fighting Spirit Tower. It had created this Game of Death and had made it clear that no one could hide. Otherwise, the Demonic Sky would be hidden and the Ghost Lair would have suffered a huge disadvantage.

As someone from the Ghost Lair, Chu Yuan had never treated those ancient martial arts practitioner as his opponents. His only opponent was the Demonic sky.

The appearance of Nangong Mingzhu was already a threat towards him.

Roar Roar Roar!

The images of the monstrous beasts walking slowly towards the stone ocean grew clearer and clearer. Finally, monstrous beasts appeared one after another. It seemed like there was an endless flow of monsters and their auras were powerful. The space between heaven and earth was filled with intense coldness.

Mo Wen discovered that the areas in front of him, behind him and to his left and right were all filled with monstrous beasts in just the blink of an eye. He glanced around him to find that even though there were a lot of monstrous beasts here, there were not many high-level monstrous beasts. Out of around every 100 beasts, only one was at the seventh level.

To the human warriors, whose least powerful of them was a warrior at the pinnacle of the Golden Elixir realm, the wave of monstrous beasts was not much of a threat. However, Mo Wen knew that this was only the beginning.

Mo Wen waved his hand and five bronze hoops flew out from his sleeves. They were the Five Beast Hoops.

The Five Beast Hoops turned into five spiritual beasts the moment they appeared. Each of them had cultivation levels that were above the seventh level and their combat abilities were very strong.

Of course, this was not the best the Five Beast Hoops could do. If Mo Wen was willing, he could even make it so that the five spiritual beasts could have cultivation at the peak of the seventh level. However, this would be too much of an expense on his inner Qi. Even if Mo Wen had enough mid-grade recovery light, he would not be able to maintain such expenditure under normal circumstances.

Five post seventh level spiritual beasts were already strong enough and would have no problems dealing with ordinary monstrous beasts. Since these spiritual beasts came from spiritual weapons, they would not die nor perish. Monstrous beasts were helpless going against such things that could not be killed as well.

The five spiritual beasts leaped into the crowd of monstrous beasts and killed them with all their might. At least half of Mo Wen's inner Qi went to maintaining the energy needed by the five spiritual beasts. If he had not cultivated the Celestial Scripture: Sun and Moon to the eighth level and was, therefore, able to replenish his inner Qi quickly, he would have needed the recovery light to recover his inner Qi in less than 15 minutes.
