663 The Powerful Mo Wen (2/2)

The terrifying tornado enveloped him from above. There was no time for him to dodge anymore. Mo Wen could only use the Five Beast Hoops to generate a golden shield that enveloped him firmly.

Then, he used the Glory of Cloud technique to form a second defense. However, this was not enough. He had to use the Gray Mountain Peak as well. The Gray Mountain Peak turned into a mountain that shielded him. He looked as if he was standing inside the mountain.

The tornado descended with a crash. Indeed, the first layer of defense could not stop it. It did not last for even a second before collapsing entirely.

Then, the tornado crashed into the cloud of stars. This layer of defense did not last long either, the stars dispersing bit by bit.

The third layer of defense was the Gray Mountain Peak. This also was quickly overcome, collapsing piece by piece.

There was a glint of gold light in Mo Wen's eyes. An enormous wave of inner Qi surged up from within his body. Then, his entire body turned gold. The gold light shone brightly onto the earth. He held onto the Sacred Fire Sword and stayed where he was. Then, he plunged into the terrifying tornado.

There was a faint spluttering. A disheveled cyan colored figure emerged from the tornado. It was the Cyan Light Eagle, that had been hiding inside the tornado.

There were dozens of wounds on the Cyan Light Eagle. They were all cuts made by a sword and were so deep one could see its bones. A part of one of its wings had even been cut.

Without the support of the Cyan Light Eagle, the tornado could not sustain itself. It dispersed slowly.

Mo Wen appeared from within the tornado. He held a long sword in his hand as he floated in the air. The gold light on his body flickered and he looked like a god of war. However, he was covered in a criss-cross of wounds. His clothes had been torn to shreds. Luckily, he was protected by the golden body so it was as if he was wearing a layer of gold armor.

However, the golden armor had been badly damaged.

The tornado had been terrifying. Numerous wind blades had cut Mo Wen the moment he had entered it. If it had not been for his immense defensive abilities, he would have been torn into shreds by the tornado.

The Cyan Light Eagle looked at Mo Wen in shock and fear. It had not expected that it would fail to kill Mo Wen under such circumstances.

The situation for the Lord Monstrous Beast did not look good. It did not have much strength to fight after its use of the attack and had been severely injured. The tornado was a skill it used to protect its life: it would not use it unless it was a matter of life and death.

Mo Wen took out a low-grade healing light from his medicine spiritual ring. There was a flash of red light and the visible cuts on his body healed quickly. He was completely healed in the blink of an eye. However, low-grade healing lights could only heal simple injuries. It could heal his superficial wounds. However, he had suffered serious internal injuries earlier when he entered the tornado.

Countless wind blades had torn through his body, damaging his organs and causing his internal injuries to worsen. A low-grade healing light could not heal him at all.

Mo Wen only had one mid-grade healing light. However, he had resisted temptation and not used it. He turned to look at the Cyan Light Eagle and there was a flicker of viciousness in his eyes.

He did not say anything else but flew up to the Cyan Light Eagle and cleaved down with his sword furiously.

A flash of shock and fear appeared in the Cyan Light Eagle's eyes. However, it did not have the strength to retaliate at all. It had forced itself to the limit earlier to use the tornado attack.

There was a flash of gold light and the Cyan Light Eagle's enormous head flew off its body. Its massive body fell downwards. It turned into glitters of starlight before it could hit the ground and entered Mo Wen's body. Mo Wen's cultivation levels increased by a little again.

A ball of silver light appeared in front of Mo Wen. It was a mid-grade unsealing light. It was the object that the Cyan Light Eagle dropped after its death.

Mo Wen caught the mid-grade unsealing light. He did not hesitate at all and immediately unsealed the straw cape spiritual weapon. Even though the mysterious straw cape had fallen down the ranks of spiritual weapons, it was still a top grade spiritual weapon. In this space, his speed would increase by at least five times with the straw cape.

There was a flash of black light and the straw cape appeared on Mo Wen's body, covering him entirely. Balls of black light surged out from the straw cape. They twisted frantically and Mo Wen's body looked as if it was an illusion and his aura suddenly increased.

The Cyan Light Eagle had risked its life to block Mo Wen. It had slowed him down, allowing the Blue-eyed Earth Shattering Pangolin and Erupting Inferno Lion to catch up with him. They surrounded Mo Wen, one in front and one behind him.

However, the two mythical beasts did not dare to act suddenly. They had both sensed that this human warrior was now different. His aura was terrifying and he had already killed the Cyan Light Eagle.

”Scram or die.” Mo Wen looked at the two Lord Monstrous Beasts coldly. He believed that, with their intelligence, they could understand what he was saying. With his current cultivation levels and the treasures he had on him, he did not need to fear the Lord Monstrous Beasts, even in a battle situation. However, he did not wish to create more trouble. As such, he wanted to leave the ancient city as soon as possible.

Monstrous Beasts were bloodthirsty and craved battles. This was especially so for Lord Monstrous Beasts. They had always been high and mighty and were dignified and intelligent. Mo Wen's statement had infuriated the two Lord Monstrous Beasts. They had been a little wary and had not dared to strike casually.

However, they roared angrily now. The hot-headed Erupting Inferno Lion was the first to strike. The flames on its body surged forth and it leaped at Mo Wen.

Mo Wen smirked. There was a flash of purple light. The Cries of Hades Bell appeared in his hand and released a dark light in the night sky.
