596 Surround Attack (2/2)

The others had not relaxed when Mo Wen had attacked Jiang Pingzhou, They had realized that they could only defeat Mo Wen by collaborating and by giving it their all.

Once again, Jiang Jingtao unleashed his Gigantic Copper Coin. A golden ray of light shot out into mid-air and struck Mo Wen.

There was one benefit to the spiritual weapons: they were not affected by distance and would directly attack the target. A unique treasure like the Gigantic Copper Coin could disregard distance entirely. Of course, the value of these types of special treasures was way higher than the normal spiritual weapons.

After Jiang Jingtao had unleashed his Gigantic Copper Coin, he did not ease his attack. Instead, he whipped out a long sword and moved through the air, appearing before Mo Wen in two to three steps. He jabbed with his sword, aiming directly at Mo Wen's throat.

The sword appeared simple but it actually possessed all the power of an ancient martial art practitioner with the later stage of the Golden Elixir realm. Its essence was in its mystery, speed, accuracy, and viciousness. There were no other additional frills to it. On top of that, there was the attraction and restriction from the Gigantic Copper Coin. It was essentially impossible for an average ancient martial art practitioner to avoid an attack from the sword.

At the same time, another person also attacked. It was none other than Bu Zhangkun of Five Beasts Sect. He held the Bronze Ring in his hand which immediately disappeared. Soundlessly, it appeared behind Mo Wen and headed directly for the back of his head.

The timing of Bu Zhangkun's attack was impeccable. Jiang Jingtao had used his long sword at exactly the moment that the Bronze Ring was deployed. Together, the power of the two items was comparable to that of two top masters. The two separate blows were akin to aiming for a direct kill.

There was no knowing just what the Bronze Ring could do. It had yet to knock into Mo Wen when a strange sound, like the crying of a tiger, began to be emitted from it. The crying was earth-shattering and seemed to have the ability to kill.

If it had been performed on the average ancient martial art practitioner, the person would not even have to be faced with the Bronze Ring; their mind would be affected just by the weird sound technique. It was a good thing that Mo Wen's Soul power was exceptional. He was essentially unaffected and his mental state had not been disturbed.

As Mo Wen came under attack, Pavilion Leader Ye Rong from Purple Qi Pavilion had also attacked. However, she was somewhat slower than Jiang Jingtao and Bu Zhangkun. It was not that she lacked the synergy; actually, she was working at a slow pace on purpose.

That was because if Mo Wen managed to withstand the attack from the two of them, Ye Rong's attack would be able to make up for it and deliver the fatal blow required. She believed that even if Mo Wen was able to withstand the collaborated attack from Bu Zhangkun and Jiang Jingtao, he would be rendered helpless by then. As long as she grasped the opportunity and attacked when Mo Wen was at his weakest, they would manage to attain victory.

Jiang Pingzhou, still reeling from Mo Wen's attack, was further away and was unable to attack in time. However, there was no possibility of him simply standing by and watching. He was currently trying his best to fly back. If Pavilion Leader Ye Rong's attack was still insufficient to kill Mo Wen, he would definitely supplement it with another attack designed to kill him off.

Although it was the first time the few of them had performed a combined attack, they were all very experienced seniors. Hence, their collaboration was rather well-coordinated and they did not hold back on their attacks at all.

Mo Wen sighed. The four of them were all top masters and their combined battle strength was simply phenomenal. With his current level of ability, it would be very difficult for him to emerge victorious. Even if he learned the three Glory techniques and had a whole bunch of treasures in his possession, the limitation in his cultivation made it impossible for him to match up to their standards.

In the face of such an attack, Mo Wen could only handle it to the best of his ability. Once again, he performed the Glory of Thunder technique. A wild aura stemmed from his body. Then, based purely on his strength, he managed to break free of the restraints of the Bronze Ring. At the same time, he did not give a second glance at the Tiger Hoop coming from behind him. He took a step out and struck out at Jiang Jingtao who was heading straight for him, aiming to kill.

The power from the Glory of Thunder had yet to wear off. Mo Wen's single punch had caused all the surrounding air to stand still. Jiang Jingtao could tell that something was wrong. He sensed a very dangerous threat coming from Mo Wen. The sense of danger made him feel the need to either hide or completely avoid the danger. However, he clearly was not going to have the opportunity to do so.

There was a dull ringing. The long sword in Jiang Jingtao's collided with Mo Wen's fist. Then, the long sword, a so-called divine weapon, simply fell to pieces. It turned into fragments that flew and diffused into the air. Jiang Jingtao spat out a mouthful of blood with a cough. His expression was exceptionally pale. Forced to retreat a number of meters, he could no longer even hover in mid-air.

At that moment, that Tiger Ring had also caught up with Mo Wen. Just as it was about to make contact with Mo Wen's head, a black ray of light emanated from his body. Immediately, his entire being seemed to become imaginary. The area surrounding him seemed to be enshrouded in fog, and the people outside of it could not see Mo Wen clearly at all.

The Tiger Ring directly weaved out from the thick fog. It was continued to float forward endlessly, seemingly completely unrestricted.

The fog suddenly changed and Mo Wen's figure became clear once again. He was hovering in mid-air, having sustained no injuries whatsoever. However, his aura was very different from before. It was barely there, which made it difficult for others to gauge his current strength. Although his body was evidently was present, it did not seem as though he was really completely there.
