472 Submission of Hu Clan (2/2)
Everyone in the hall looked at one another, now understanding Hu Tianfeng's intention. He intended to send Third Master Hu to the Dafang Sect to ask for forgiveness. Everyone's face changed slightly and they shivered involuntarily at the fact that their Clan Leader was willing to sacrifice the Third Master, his biological brother, to save Hu Clan.
Hu Tianfeng walked out of the place before the others. In his heart he knew that even if he was to bring Hu Zhikun to the Dafang Sect to ask for forgiveness, it wasn't going to be enough. If they really wanted to feel secure, they must declare their stance as well.
They arrived at the Dafang Sect and were shown into the main meeting hall. Mo Wen walked out of the back courtyard idly. He scanned the people of Hu Clan, who had waited for a long time in the hall, before walking to the main seat and sitting down comfortably. His expression gave nothing away.
”Hu Clan's Clan Leader, Hu Tianfeng, pays respect to the Supreme Leader.” As Mo Wen sat down, Hu Tianfeng bowed, careful to greet Mo Wen as respectfully as he could.
”Eh? What did you call me?” Mo Wen blinked and asked. He didn't show any sign of surprise.
”The Ghost Physicians Hu Clan is one of the influences of Ming Cult. You are Ming Cult's successor so naturally you are my Supreme Leader.” Hu Tianfeng lowered his head slightly with a submissive look. Before arriving, he had already thought this through. Perhaps the only way to save Hu Clan was through complete submission to Mo Wen.
The appearance of the Ming Cult's successor was bound to cause enormous problems in the near future. All the related influences of Ming Cult would be involved. Although the Ghost Physicians Hu Clan was a small influence, it would be drawn in. Hu Tianfeng was now clearly choosing what he hoped would be the winning side.
Originally, he had aimed to stay out of the matter. Then, when the situation had become clearer the Hu Clan could consider the matter of taking sides again. However now he didn't have a choice but to choose Mo Wen. This was because if he didn't choose Mo Wen, it would be the equivalent of choosing to be on the opposing side to him. Without waiting for the situation to be clear, Mo Wen would have annihilated them now. After all, the rules of Ming Cult were demanding so those who didn't submit would be considered traitors.
However, there was one thing that Hu Tianfeng was slightly comforted by. Mo Wen was not only mysterious, but was also in possession of an astounding level of ability and power. He seemed to have already reached the level of Golden Elixir realm. In addition, he was so young and had unlimited potential. He might be able to accomplish the great task of unifying the Ming Cult.
”You are very clever.” Mo Wen nodded his head, his tone indifferent. ”Bring that renegade in to me.”
Hu Tianfeng bowed respectfully again before waving his hand in an unemotional command. Straight away, a few members of Hu Clan brought a person in. The old man had injuries all over his body and blood stains everywhere, like he had suffered some severe punishment.
”Supreme Leader, we didn't declare ourselves after we knew your status, but chose to be hidden as we know that the Supreme Leader is now trying to hide his light under a bushel and does not wish for great fanfare. However, there is a renegade in Hu Clan, who chose to talk irresponsibly, and leaked your status so brazenly that he deserves death.”
Hu Tianfeng took a deep breath before he looked coldly at Hu Zhikun who was kneeling on the floor. One of his hands was holding on to a long sword tightly. After he mentioned the word death, he lifted his sword to strike at Hu Zhikun's head.
”Enough. Other than Clan Leader Hu, the rest can go. On account of Hu Clan being obedient to the Cult's rules for the past hundred years, I will spare you this time. Do not expect it to always be this way.”
A hidden wind gushed in, causing the long sword with which Hu Tianfeng had been about to kill his brother to clatter to the floor. Hu Tianfeng's body trembled as he uncontrollably stepped backwards with shock flashing in his eyes. The wind had been totally silent before it appeared and there had been no sign it was coming. If the hidden wind had been used to attack him, he would be dead already.
It wasn't a big deal to Mo Wen whether he killed Hu Zhikun or not. Even the death of the entire Hu Clan wouldn't have much effect on him. However, since the Ghost Physicians Hu Clan had come forward to submit themselves, he wouldn't mind being magnanimous for once. He knew quite a bit about the ways of management.
With today's kindness of not killing, Hu Clan would be very grateful to him. It would also have some positive effects on those Ming Cult's remnant influences, who had not submitted or were hesitant, when they found out about this.
”Everyone can go.” Hu Tianfeng waved his hand as he ordered all the members of Hu Clan to go out of the hall. Mo Wen obviously wanted to speak to him alone.
”Thank you, Supreme Leader for the kindness of not killing. May I know what instructions the Supreme Leader has for me?” After the rest of the people had left, Hu Tianfeng arched his waist slightly before asking respectfully.
”Is Ghost Physicians Hu Clan the heirs of Ming Cult's Medical Valley?” Mo Wen asked patiently. He had lived in the Ming Cult's historical abode for a few days. There were voluminous writings regarding Ming Cult so he had some understandings of Ming Cult's structure and its influences.
”Supreme Leader, Hu Clan is indeed the Medical Valley's heir.” Medical Valley belonged to the Ming Cult, but it was different from the normal organization as it was an independent separate system. The people of the Medical Valley specialised in medical expertise and had inherited the Ming Cult's healing ability. Everyone who came from it was usually highly skilled in medical expertise.
As for Ghost Physicians Hu Clan, it was a branch of renowned heritage Clan which had the heritage of Medical expertise in the Ming Cult's history. In the Ming Cult's history, Hu Clan had produced quite a few Miracle Physicians.
