This was the normal equipment for magi in the army, and the robes they weared emmited energy ondulations making they seem rather valiant looking.

As there was no one taking the test at the moment, they were just talking between themselves. Even when his father was always good with him by nature, his grandfather was rather strict so Elijah was used to the army's strict disciplines as well.

As such, he and Chloe had read several books about war, strategies and the history about the famed generals from the kingdom.

”Hi, we here to take the test.” Elijah and Chloe walked into the test area and handed their wooden badges over to one of the magi, and he looked at they and said ”Well done, congratulations on choosing to join our division. Otho! Go and take the staffs so they could make the test!” The mage called Otho ran to the corner and walked back with two wooden staves and passed it to them.

”Here, take this and try to use it there.” Otho pointed to seven stone pillars standing a few meters from them.

Elijah and Chloe took their staves and examined it closely. Elijah's staff was made out of Crunor Wood which was a bit reddish, and was around 1.7 meters long, on the top of the staff was a circular shape red crystal. while Chloe's was made of a hundred year duskwood and was a bit shorter than Elijah's staff being around 1.4 meters long.

Rings wraped around the entire staff with the exception of the handle, which has been decorated with a crosshatched cord. The top has been crafted into a rounded star shape, which has been decorated with a large orb that seems to give off icy charges at seemingly random times.

This sort of staff had been developed over the ages, so the mortal magi who could not use magic the the divine magi could cast their spells on their own way.
