Chapter 8, Part 1: Lu Qian

Lu Hong stood on the same spot for a long time.

A familiar voice interrupted his thoughts, “Big Brother!”

Lu Hong returned to his senses, smiled and shouted, “Second Brother.”

The young boy stood in front of him was about eleven or twelve years old. He had pale skin and delicate eyes and brows. He was Lu Family's second young master, Lu Qian.

Lu Qian was born immaturely less than eight months, and he was sickly and weak since young. He had to consume lots of expensive supplements and medicinal soups in order to grow up safely. His body wasn't as good as those same age young boy, he wasn't very tall as well, only up to Lu Hong's chest.

Lu Hong's relations.h.i.+p with his stepmother was quite cold, but he was very caring and loving towards his younger brother. Their relations.h.i.+p were quite profound.

“I didn't see you when I finished my lunch.” Lu Qian complained with dissatisfaction, “I had to look for you everywhere. Why are you standing here alone?”

Lu Hong subconsciously did not want to mention about his encounter with Ling Jing Shu and casually said, “Peony usually blooms in April but Ling Residence's Peony Garden planted a complex-colored peony which blooms in March. I am alone and bored, so I come here for a walk and take a look.”

He was afraid that Lu Qian couldn't stop asking. He pointed to the peony not far away and said, “Look, this is Luoyang Brocade. One branch have different colors of flowers, the branches and leaves are different as well!”

Lu Qian followed Lu Hong's eyes and looked over.

The huge flowers were hidden among the green leaves and branches, they were so beautiful.

“It indeed is very beautiful.” Lu Qian smiled and said, “Heard from grandmother that this is planted by Cousin Shu. Cousin Shu is really skilled, but it's a pity that she is recuperating, I still have not seen her.”

“Cousin Shu was here not long ago!”

Lu Hong blurted out.

Lu Qian's eyes flashed with a glimmer of light and his voice was a little bit strange, “Big Brother, you have seen Cousin Shu?”
