”Jiang Yu! Where did you go? Why did you return so late? ” I asked anxiously.

”I didn't go anywhere. I just went out to take a stroll.” He toyed with a cigar in his hand and answered without looking up.

Seeing him like this, my feelings were mixed.

I was angry at his sudden disappearance, but also worried about his safety. I was angry at him for not answering my question, but also relieved that he had appeared again.

”Jiang Yu, I want you to look into my eyes. Let me ask you, was the masked man who was dancing with me at the ball earlier you?”

I looked at him very seriously. Even though I lowered my voice on purpose, I still couldn't hide my uneasiness.

I suddenly didn't want to hear his answer. If he's right, then how am I going to look for him in the future? Is it Jiang Yu or the CEO of the Jing Hui Group?

If he said no, I was afraid the disappointment would come. If he wasn't, then I'd have to hold on tighter to save the company.

I looked at the clock on the wall. It was getting late. Since he had not achieved his goal for coming here, there was no point in staying any longer.

After saying goodbye to the president, we left the ball. Along the way, Jiang Yu did not say a word, and only drove the car to break the silence.

At the moment, the music sounded like irritating noise to me. I reached over and turned off the sound.

”I'm tired, I need to rest.” I closed my eyes and took a nap after the back of the chair was adjusted to a comfortable height.

Closing my eyes, my thoughts started to dance in the air. There were so many things happening that I couldn't calm down for a long time.

After getting off the car, Jiang Yu took my bag and walked behind me. The servant at home saw us enter the door with an unfriendly face and quickly helped us pack up our things before returning to his room.

”I'm going to take a shower.” I said as I sat at the dresser and undressed.

”Yes.” Jiang Yu replied indifferently, and there was nothing else left to say. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see him pick up his clothes and head for the other bathroom.

After walking into the bathroom barefooted, he noticed that the servant had already put in the water, but the temperature was a little low, so it wasn't as good as letting Jiang Yu put in the appropriate water.

After sinking into the bathtub, I started to have some feelings for Jiang Yu. If it was before, no matter how long he went out, I wouldn't ask. But today, I started to care about his safety.

Perhaps in these few days, Jiang Yu unknowingly participated in every single matter of my life, forcing me to ignore its existence.

But even if I had feelings for him, I was still annoyed that he had left me alone at the meeting place and not answered the phone. I felt a little depressed.

Furthermore, his constant refusal to answer my questions made me feel stuffy, as if my heart had been blocked by a stone.

After soaking for a while longer, I refreshed myself and stood up from the bathtub. I casually took a towel from the shelf and wrapped it around my body before walking out of the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, I notice that my skin has decreased a bit. I immediately took out the skincare products and carefully applied them on my skin.

I am so precious to my face. I must keep it in perfect condition at all times.
