Chapter 152 - 152: Threat Of Extinction. (1/2)

Gray wasn't sure how the device worked, but since it was just a speaker he assumed one of the buttons would allow him to speak.

Gray grabbed the device and pressed down on the button.

”Testing... Testing. *Clears Throat.* Can you hear me?” He asked.

[...Who are you?]

”Ah, so your race speaks English too. That's a good coincidence.” Said Gray,

[…I assume you've killed 021?]

Gray let out a sigh.

”Don't worry about that... Rather... You have bigger things to worry about.” He said. ”Send this order to whoever is in charge...”

The light in Gray's eyes grew dimmer, the air around him colder and a dark chilling aura was released as he narrowed his right silver eye narrowed slightly.

”Leave... I'm done trying to seek out peace... If you don't turn back now... Then It won't just be your army... I'll personally go to your world and kill all of you.”

Ria didn't say anything, her expression was just as cold as Gray's.

Whether or not he was joking didn't matter, if that was the path he'd take, then she'd follow after it while watching over him.

That's what it meant for her to be his sister. It was the least she could do.

[...Ha...HAHAHAHAHA!]

Countless laughs resounded through the microphone looking device.

The one on the other side of the frequency seemed to have gotten a good kick out of Gray's threat.

[You... You're a funny one... An inferior race which can't even clear the Labyrinths to prevent it's world from being invaded dares to think they can threaten us?]

The voice changed, sounding slightly more demonic as the one on the other side of the line became enraged.

[Did you know... Conquering all of the Labyrinths is one of the methods to prevent an invasion?]

[We've already conquered a continent of yours.]

[What can your tiny, insignificant self amount to?]

Gray didn't say anything.

[Don't worry... We'll keep you all of you as slaves... A bug should know it's place.]

”...That's a relief.” Said Gray.

A smile could be seen on his face.

[…?]

”Thank you...” He said. ”Now I won't have to feel bad about killing you all.” He added with a smile.

Ria felt shivers rush down her spine as Gray's blood lust seeped out.

”Extinction... Just like how us humans are going through out, I'll give you a taste.”

The blood lust felt purer and darker than anything she had seen before.

It felt hollow and isolated, almost like a pitch-black room.

She couldn't get it out of her mind.

'Just how much... How much suffering did he go through after we separated?' She wondered dejectedly.

*Crack*

Gray broke the microphone with his barehand before throwing it out of the building through one of the broken holes and windows on the wall.

”Are you okay?” Gray asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder. ”You looked kind of down, was it because of what I said?” He added with a nervous smile

”No... It's not that... I'm fine, sorry...” Said Ria as she shook her head.

”...Good. Then, let's get going. We'll be able to get a better idea of what's going on with this new artifact.” He said.

Ria nodded before following after.

As she watched his back getting further and further away from behind, she stopped and called out to him.

”Brother...” She said.

Gray turned back around and noticed that she was on the verge of crying again.

”What's wro-”
