Chapter 150 - 150: The Artifact. (1/2)

There were countless buildings around making it almost impossible to tell where the sound was coming from.

But there was just one crucial factor, one single factor which came up in the beginning of the fight.

The flash.

Gray remembered seeing a single flashing light coming from the top of one of the buildings right before the sniper fired his shot.

He had been so focused on evading that he had lost it's location completely.

But there it was.

'Thank god the lightning dragon lit up everything after it appeared.'

He could barely see it, the flash from the scope reflecting the bright light from the Lightning dragon.

But he could see it.

The curl slowly shifted in to a wide grin, as he muttered.

”Found... you...”

[Sniper Found.]

*SWOOSH!*

*Pierce* *Pierce* *Pierce*

The countless bullets which had been fired off at them, either pierced it's way into the building roof or collided with one another and ricocheted away.

Regardless, none of them had hit the target.

The sniper's eyes widened, as he moved away from his scope.

He peeked at it once more, before rubbing his eyes.

The two had vanished.

A smile grew on his face.

”Did they teleport inside of a building? How silly could they be? Do they think they'll be safe from the walls?” The sniper questioned.

He giggled inwardly before placing his eyes into the scope once more.

”Activate X-Ray.”

[X-Ray.]

Suddenly, the sights through the scope changed, he could see anything through the walls of any of the buildings.

Through said scope's sight, he could see countless humans hiding away, holed up in their buildings base, while others ran for their lives.

He could see the zombies and even those of his race fighting.

He had already taken out countless humans hiding with this scope and ability of his, the number was only a few off of a hundred.

”Man... I love this artifact.” He muttered.

To him, it was a joy, accumulating the number of kills as if it were some sort of game.

He planned to kill the people on the fleets above their head one by one after.

As he looked through the scope however, he frowned. He couldn't see them, he could see countless people which he didn't recognise but the ones which mattered were nowhere to be seen.

The only conclusion he could come up with was that they had teleported to the opposite direction.

But why?

Why would they suddenly change directions?

”Artifact, huh?” A voice suddenly came from behind him.

”Yeah an art-”

His eyes widened, without finishing the sentence he suddenly swung that rifle back pointing it towards the two figures behind him.

He pressed down on the trigger, but it was too late by then.

Gray's feet were touching him.

[Pause.]

A cold smile could be seen on the face of the two as they gave him a cold stare.

A Grey-haired young man and a black-haired girl. They were the two he had been shooting at a while ago.

Distortions could be seen in the space behind them.

It was Gray and Ria. They stared at the sniper with a look of curiosity.

Long black hair, and small pointy ears, his crystal-like blue eyes hiding beneath his hexagonal goggles.
