Chapter 147 - 147: The Apocalyptic War? [Part 2] (1/2)

The large air ships drew closer towards the naval fleets.

Neither of the two sides many any moves as they waited and watched the others.

Ruby who stood on top of her naval fleet, analysed their design. The air ships were nothing like she had ever seen in their world, leading to only one possible conclusion.

The enemy was too from another world.

”What in the world did this planet do to deserve-”

Ruby was interrupted as a bright glow flashed ahead of them.

Light began to gather in front of one of the giant air ships.

Cold sweat dripped down her face, she didn't want to take any chances.

”Activate it!” Ruby commanded.

A transparent hexagonal field was deployed around the naval fleets.

The light gathered flashed once more, before a beam was fired off towards them.

*BOOM!*

Gray and Ria's hair swayed roughly as beam flew over their heads.

Despite that, they didn't take their eyes off the enemies ahead of them.

'Save the notifications for after the fight.'

[Confirmed.]

The throat of the beast to his right expanded, something with a ball-like shape rolled up his throat before eventually coming to a stop at it's mouth.

Fiery sparks seeped out.

[Pause Step!]

Just before it could release the flames, Gray appeared before it with a kick heading upwards.

*WHAM!*

He kicked the bottom of it's chin, forcing it's mouth shut before pausing it in place.

[Pause.]

Due to the large size of it's head, he was able to pause the head alone without any complications.

Gray turned his head to his next target, his eyes glued to it it before he propelled himself in it's direction.

He had kicked off, a platform of air which he had paused, his superior agility allowed him to cut the distance between them within a split second.

With it's mouth frozen, the ball like structure in throat of the first giant lizard expanded and expanded before being too much to contain.

*Burst*

Just after Gray had reached the other.

*Swoosh*

Gray drew out a Katana from the sheathe on his hilt as he zoomed past the Lizard.

The lizard turned around to face him, it's head plopped off.

Gray landed on the floor, sliding towards the edge of the building, before Pause stepping once more.

[Pause Step]

Swing after step, he went on a rampage slaying all the Lizard's around him.

While he did so, he would occasionally check up on RIa, who was blitzing through them with her rapier.

[Spatial Manipulation: Teleport.]

The way she moved was incredible, distortions were left in the space of everywhere she striked.

She avoided staying stationary, making sure she was always on the move as she appeared left and right in their blind spots before they could react.

A teleporter, that was the best way to describe the way which she fought.

Gray was even more surprised by her use of the Rapier however, in terms of power, it was nothing much, but the attack speed was something else.

Gray finished his last one off without so much as breaking a sweat, right after doing so, a notification rang on the inside of his head.
