Chapter 120 - 120: Preparations For The Other World. [Part 1] (1/2)

A smile could be seen on Ruby's face as she followed behind Gray.

She was wearing a large furry hat which covered her horns.

The air around her had gone from tense to cheerful.

Violet and Aurora who noticed couldn't help but smile as they watched.

It made sense for her to be this happy, after all, Gray was able to... Convince, the president to trust in their idea.

.

”Surely it was all an unexpected coincidence, right?” He asked with a smile. ”After all, god knows how the people would react if they were to find out that there was more to the story... Even I'd like to know.”

Gray was referring to the fact that the president and corps executive were hiding something from him and the people.

The president's hands trembled slightly whilst he was lost in deep thought.

There was only one option for him, only one.

”...Very well... You can take them. I'll have a soldier accompany you over to where those who are caught are being kept prisoners...”

And that was to accept it.

The group was being led by the calm officer Gray had met after leaving his room. He was instructed to take them over to the prison and give them full access to the facility.

He explained that they were going to be moving the prisoners to another location.

Without questioning it, he did as told.

He took them throughout the facility before eventually coming to a stop with them ahead of two large gates.

This door required not only a pass but a security code of sorts to open.

As the officer put in the numbers, Gray gave it a glance, memorising them in a flash before the doors opened.

'Two, Seven, Nine, Eight, FIve.'

Upon opening, their hairs swayed back as they were instantly greeted with a strong cold gust of wind.

Ahead of them was a prison.

A large hall with countless jail cells sorted out one next to the other.

Inside, horned ones with specialised cuffs could be seen being pushed around to their cells by the other officers in the sight.

Gray had been explained by the officer that these cuffs apparently nullified ones ability. How were they made? Gray didn't know.

They weren't created by the Government, but rather the corporation instead... If they had access to such technology, why did they feel threatened by Gray? They doubted that it would work on him.

But that doesn't mean they never planned on trying, so Gray never let the possibility for them to plan such a thing to slip by his mind.

At the end of the hall, there was an upward slope which led up.

Through the upward slope, even more constrained horned ones descended. They were accompanied by other officers, most of which carried a sword, knives or spear on themselves.

The horned ones were visibly frustrated but they weren't putting up a fight or trying to escape even.

Ruby stared silently at the sight ahead of her without saying anything. Gray glanced at her and couldn't tell what she was thinking.

Her expression was still and calm.

A few eyes from the officers could be felt at the back of their heads as they were watched, but they ignored it without showing any care.

It was probably Ruby's furry hat which was drawing some attention.

”Alright, before we do this, I'll go over the plan again.” Said Gray.

They had previously discussed a plan. It was rather simple.

Get all the horned ones and put it on a naval fleet. Then Ruby would handle the rest and eventually they'd arrive at their world.

The air was apparently breathable like Earth, but Gray didn't know if there would be any side effects so he needed to be prepared.

”Aurora and Violet, you'll both be in charge of preparing our things, loot and stock up anything you can get your hands on in this refugee camp. Lara, go get your kids and then help them out. Me and Ruby will deal with handle all of this.” Said Gray.

Lara nodded but Aurora and Violet both seemed to frown as they stared at him.

”What...? Is there something on the back of my head?” Gray asked nervously.

”N-Nothing...!” Said Aurora, shaken that he had caught her staring.
