[Vector manipulation.]

A vector. In other words, a quantity having both direction and magnitude.

This girl's ability allowed her to shift both the direction and magnitude of things as she pleased. Of course there were limitations.

But with her ability she was constantly changing the direction of all the dukes attacks which were heading at her, making her seemingly untouchable.

[Vector Manipulation – Cut]

Her katana suddenly sliced through the duke's magic arm, causing it to disperse before she thrust her sword at him.

*CLANG!*

Her sword was suddenly knocked back along with her.

As she slid back, she got into the stance once more.

”Oh I see..” He muttered, with a cold look in his eyes. ”So it's that kind of ability…”

She proceeded to leap at him once more, and the two clashed.

*Clang!*

Gray's figure was pinned in the spot by the paused chains. He couldn't move a step, much less avoid the countless blades which were heading towards him.

Despite that he was smiling.

”There's no point in avoiding. After all, I've already won.” Said Gray, his hair covering his eyes.

The blades stopped right ahead of him as he said that. A gust of wind burst towards him, pushing his hair back.

Not an ounce of fear could be seen in his eyes, as he stared right at the king.

”You've won? What kind of a sick joke!? You cannot even move, you are as a good as dead!” The king shouted, infuriated.

”It's not a joke.” Said Gray. ”The quest was to defeat you. I challenged you to a fist fight, you used your ability throughout the fight multiple times. To use your ability in a fight meant for fists, doesn't that make it your loss?” Gray asked.

None of this was intentional. In fact, Gray only realised it after his ability wasn't working.

He first thought it was because the king must have been tampering with it since he could also control time itself.

But after thinking about it for a while longer, he remembered the quest and what he had said. The system was the one preventing him from using his abilities because of the challenge he had proposed.

It was because he had realised this, that he was able to win.

Gray wasn't happy with the way he won, it felt as if he cheated. But he didn't have time to waste fighting a man in his consciousness.

He needed to get back and help everyone.

The king snapped his fingers.

Countless time blades appeared around Gray.

The room began to move in a way which resembled a puzzle.

The chains grew tighter around Gray, but the look didn't fade from his eyes.

”If you'd like to fight again, using our abilities. I wouldn't mind, although I'd probably lose in less than a second.”

Upon hearing this, the king facepalmed himself before walking back to his throne.

”Ha… Hahahahaha… HAHAHAHA!!”.

He burst out in laughter.

[Quest Completed: The King has been defeated.]

The feminine robotic voice echoed throughout the room.

”Certainly… That would make it my loss, wouldn't it? Very well.”

As he sat down, a strange mark appeared on Gray's forehead.
