Chapter 54: The Horned Ones Invasion: Part 2 (1/2)

A large figure crashed into the middle of the world, crushing the unfortunate zombies which happened to be at it's point of landing.

The figure slowly rose up, displaying large bulky body with black horns extended out of his head. A bald giant who towered over the zombies standing at a little over 8 feet tall.

”Huh? What's this? I can't feel any life coming from them and yet they are moving?” He asked as he looked over at the zombies swarming around him.

Covered in bloods, parasites and injuries, they hastily clenched their jaws on the man's body, putting all their power into eating him, and tearing his flesh.

But it had no effect.

”Ah. This must be what they were telling us to be wary of. This, a threat?”

Not even a scratch could be seen forming around the man's skin as he grabbed one of their heads, and squashed it, crushing it with little effort.

”What a funny joke.”

He proceeded, to walk along the road, crushing the zombies as if they were flies, before stopping ahead of a building. A smile grew on his face, as he asked. ”They said I was free to let loose.”.

Squatting down, he swung his arms back launching away the zombies in the way before suddenly, leaping directly at the building.

*CRASH!*

Despite his abnormal size, his leap had caused him to crash all the way up into the fifth floor which was countless meters off the ground.

The smile on his face disappeared once he saw what was inside.

Inside, a young girl could be seen trembling with watery eyes. She stood ahead of an old lady and had her arm stretched out as if shielding her.

”S-S-S-Stay back!”

A faint blue glow could be seen coming out of the girl's hands, it seemed to have been some sort of ability, but she it appeared that she still hadn't grasped how to use it.

The man clicked his tongue. ”Disappointing. Are the beings of this planet we're invading, truly this inferior? To not even be able to strike when their life is at danger.” He muttered as he raised his hand. ”Truly disappointing.”

”MUM!! RUN!!!” The young girl shouted.

But by then, it was too late, the man had already swung his hand down, it was only inches away from the coming into contact with the building and collapsing the whole floor.

The fear in her eyes as she screamed her mothers name was overlapped by the sounds of explosions going on throughout the city.

*WHAM*

It all happened in a flash. A figure had appeared out of nowhere from behind the giant, with a kick landed on the side of his neck. But it seemed to have no effect as the giant was completely frozen in place.

The one who had conducted the kick was a young man with unkempt Gray hair, and bright yellow eyes. He wore a simple summer attire, wearing a simple blue shirt paired with black shorts and sandals.

The lady and the young girl couldn't believe their eyes. This was easily one of the strangest encounters they had since the beginning of the Apocalypse.

As if teleporting, the young boy vanished from behind the man, before appearing ahead of him. His arm pulled back, his fist clenched before he began unleashing a barrage of punches right at him. The punches were fast, she could barely keep track of them.

And as if to end the barrage, the young man jumped, spinning his body mid-air as he landed a kick right on the side of the horned giants head.
