Chapter 6: Chaos (1/2)
The days passed. With no other thought in mind, Gray continued his Daily quest. It reset exactly at midnight every day.
This would mean he could only get two stat points a day at most.
It was fine, though. He kept it going. The pain, the nausea, the weakness. As each passing day passed, his skin paled more and more.
Nevertheless, he preserved.

Gray, who had dark circles under his eyes, staggered toward the door as he dragged his long blade across the floor.
His stats had changed as a result of a recent discovery.

”Ninety-eight... Ninety-nine... One... Hundred...” He mumbled before flopping to the ground. He had just completed 100 push-ups.
At that moment.

Gray could not believe what he had discovered. The incident occurred the fifth day, just as he was about to collapse from exhaustion, but it still happened. After completing each of the other sets, it happened again.

- Present.
As he reached the door, the sound of the blade scraping against the floor stopped.
Gray's mind was in no position to think due to how weak his spirit and body had become. His stomach hurt from the hunger.
His throat was dry. His infected wounds were swollen and itchy, and they had an unusual color. It had become unbearable.
Additionally, the fact that he was confined there with only himself for such a long period of time. He was clearly beginning to feel it mentally.
Without the fact that it wasn't his first time dealing with such a confinement, he wouldn't have coped as well.
He pushed open the door as his gray hair covered his expression.
As a result, he saw it. Once again.
On the floor, there were cracks leading to the end of the room where the piece of Armour still lay.
Gray stepped inside unfazed.
Taking the first step in, however, he felt a chill run down his spine.
A sword swing drew closer to him as he glanced to the right.
Gray was taken by surprise, so he instinctively tilted his body to avoid it, but was too slow.
[pause]
Just barely, the sword stopped beside his ears. But that was only the beginning.
